Which do you prefer?

Both great – both we have two Nikons :) (One has to repaired, because it suffered a major injury during our last photoshoot)

Canon. def user friendly, amazing & affordable.

I don’t use either. I’m saving for one though!

When you really go for non-amateur photography, Canons like 5D or 7D are perfect. But considering the usual SLR or compact cameras, Nikons can do the same (or even better) as Canons for less money.
I have my Nikon401, but as far as its an analog I have a hard time comparing it to older Canons which Ive never tried.

I have a Nikon. I’ve had it for years but I plan to buy a new SLR soon and I am deciding which to get.. Should I leave Nikon? Apparently the Canon equivalent of the Nikon camera I want is better… I love Nikon though!

I prefer Nikons, just because they’re more familiar to me! I think they’re pretty similar so it’s just a matter of preference

Both are good, although I use Canon personally.

canon, mostly out of brand familiarity. I used canon point-and-shoots, then better-quality compact cameras, then their DSLRs.

imo the lower-end nikon lenses are better than the lower-end canon ones, but they’re more expensive

Both are really good brands, Canon is cheaper than Nikon as Nikon cameras not only look more professional but they’re also build differently, their body is just more advanced than Canon camera bodies. I use Canon cameras myslef but I would actually like to take pictures with a Nikon (that doesn’t mean I don’t love my Canon!).
